Ninety-two percent of U.S. energy drinkers visit quick-service restaurants, research shows; 81% say they would be likely or extremely likely to buy energy drink in QSR

LOS ANGELES , April 27, 2012 () – Red Bull director of category insights Guy Wootton said that according to research conducted by his company, 92% of U.S. energy drinkers visit quick-service restaurants, QSR Magazine reported April 19.

According to the research, 81% said they would be likely or extremely likely to buy an energy drink in a quick-service restaurant, while 70% said it would be incremental to their existing beverage purchases.

Wootton said that nearly 33% of quick-service patrons buy energy drinks, but very few quick serves actually offer energy drinks.
