ST. PETERSBURG, Russia , April 3, 2012 (press release) – As part of implementation of the Big Bratsk Project, installation of new superconcentrators at the evaporation station was completed and a test run was carried out. The superconcentrators will be put into semi-commercial operation in the near future. Test run of the superconcentrators marked the beginning of Big Bratsk equipment start-up.

During the start-up of the new equipment, experts from the Bratsk Mill tested all constituent elements of superconcentrators: pumps, actuators, control and lock valves.

Following the start-up of new superconcentrators, two old concentrators will be rebuilt.

Installation of new modern superconcentrators will increase liquor concentration before burning up to 75%, thus allowing to reduce emissions.
