Luxembourg-based Ardagh Group acquires New Jersey-based Leone Industries, says deal will boost its glass division's size by about 10%; Leone Industries makes more than 500 million containers per year

LUXEMBOURG , March 27, 2012 (press release) – Luxembourg based Ardagh Group today announced that it has acquired US based Leone Industries from the Leone family. The acquisition of Leone Industries will increase the size of Ardagh’s glass division by approximately 10%.

Leone Industries was founded in 1966 and is a technologically advanced manufacturer of glass containers serving the US food and beverage markets. It produces more than 500 million containers per annum from its state of the art facility in Bridgeton, New Jersey.
