LOS ANGELES , March 16, 2012 () – According to research from the Center for Culinary Development, authentic diversity, size options, a balance between healthy and decadent foods, and social conscience are among the major consumer trends among Millennials, QSR Magazine reported March 16.

According to the research, these consumers were reared on diverse ethnic foods, and as a result they value authenticity above almost everything else. Additionally, Millennials want to be able to customize their menu items and are generally wary of anything having to do with mass production.

Also according to the research, although many of these consumers favor physical fitness and have a good understanding of healthy foods, they also indulge in decadent fast food. Finally, the research showed that Millennials generally have a preference for food that is organic, free range and free from hormones.
