Fire reportedly destroys Pactiv egg carton plant in Moorhead, Minnesota

Authorities fear fire has destroyed an egg carton production plant in Moorhead.
The fire was reported about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Pactiv Advanced Packaging Solutions in the city's southside industrial park.
Clay County Sheriff Bill Bergquist tells The Forum the building is expected to be a total loss.
Intense heat forced firefighters to retreat from the building's interior about 4:30 p.m. Crews were working to save surrounding buildings from the flames.
The sheriff says the cause and origin of the fire aren't clear.
About 45 employees were evacuated. Bergquist says the workers already were evacuated from the building before authorities got the fire call.
