LOS ANGELES , February 29, 2012 () – In an effort to combat misconceptions about the E. coli bacterium, the American Academy of Microbiology has released a 16-page report, “E. coli: Good, Bad & Deadly,” that encompasses the full spectrum of E. coli’s interactions with human health, human biology and food, Food Product Design reported Feb. 29.

In addition to offering intricate scientific data, the report provides an easily understandable introduction to the E. coli bacterium.
