Kruger subsidiary to hire 100 more workers at its Memphis, Tennessee, tissue-making operation as part of US$316M expansion expected to be completed in 2013

Kruger Products L.P., a subsidiary of Montreal-based Kruger Inc., has announced that it will hire 100 more workers at its tissue-making operation in Memphis, Tennessee, reported the Memphis Business Journal on Feb. 28.
The new jobs will be created as a result of the US$316-million expansion that the company will undertake at the KTG USA tissue mill. The project, which was announced last summer, is expected to be completed in 2013.
Kruger has begun taking applications to fill the 100 jobs in manufacturing, converting and maintenance, at www.ktgusa.com. The pay will range from $16 to $27 per hour. The Memphis operation now employs 394 people, the Memphis Business Journal reported.
The expansion project involves purchasing new equipment and constructing a new building at the KTG USA site, which makes bathroom tissues, facial tissues and paper towels,
At its five facilities, four of which are in Canada, Kruger employs 2,400 people. The company makes White Cloud tissue products in the U.S., while its Canadian brands include Cashmere, Purex, SpongeTowels, Scotties and White Swan, reported the Memphis Business Journal.
