Fifty-seven percent of adults in 2011 said they would likely use delivery service from full-service restaurants, according to NRA forecast; 53% said they would use curbside takeout

LOS ANGELES , February 9, 2012 () – According to a forecast by the National Restaurant Association, 57% of adults last year said they would be likely to use delivery from full-service restaurants, while 53% said they would use curbside takeout, Nation’s Restaurant News reported Feb. 3.

As a result, according to the forecast, 33% of full-service operators said they upgraded their takeout packaging last year, with another 30% planning to do so in 2012, according to the forecast.

Also, the forecast said that nearly 40% of consumers said they would likely use an electronic ordering system and menus on tableside tablet computers.
