Members of CVS's rewards program ExtraCare can now send their quarterly rewards directly to their cards, eliminating need for customers to carry paper rewards into the store

– CVS/pharmacy's ExtraCare Rewards Program, the largest retail rewards program with more than 69 million active cardholders, today announced that ExtraCare cardholders can now send their quarterly ExtraBucks® Rewards to their ExtraCare cards, eliminating the need for shoppers to carry paper rewards into their local CVS/pharmacy. This enhanced paperless option for redeeming ExtraBucks® Rewards expands on the first digital "Send to Card" option rolled out last August which gave cardholders the ability to send select ExtraCare email offers directly to their ExtraCare Card. ExtraCare's newest digital feature for quarterly ExtraBucks® Rewards makes it easier and more convenient for shoppers who prefer not to print paper rewards to take advantage of their earned ExtraBucks® Rewards.

The addition of more digital options for ExtraCare is the latest in a series of new features and enhancements CVS/pharmacy has rolled out for ExtraCare, enabling members of the program to customize their benefits to fit their unique interests and shopping preferences. Cardholders can "scan and save" at the ExtraCare Coupon Centers to receive additional ExtraBucks® Rewards, coupons and special offers before they shop. Additionally, they can opt-in to the ExtraCare Beauty Club to receive rewards and special offers within the beauty category; they can opt-in to ExtraCare Advantage for Diabetes to receive special offers and discounts on related products; they can participate in CVS/pharmacy's GreenBagTag program as another way to earn more ExtraBucks Rewards for declining plastic bags. Shoppers looking for extra value can also register for ExtraCare email offers at CVS.com/extracareemail and join CVS/pharmacy's communities on Facebook and Twitter.
To take advantage of the new paperless feature for ExtraBucks® Rewards, cardholders can sign up for a CVS.com account at www.cvs.com/extracare. Once enrolled, customers will receive an email notification when their quarterly ExtraBucks® Rewards have arrived and can choose whether they prefer to send their rewards directly to their ExtraCare card for automatic redemption, print them at home, or print them in-store at the beginning of their next shopping trip by scanning their card at the ExtraCare Coupon Center.
To help shoppers learn about the new feature, and encourage members of the ExtraCare community to proudly proclaim how they like to redeem their ExtraBucks® Rewards, CVS/pharmacy has also unveiled the next wave of its ongoing "MoneyTrashers" campaign, featuring a user-generated photo contest on the CVS/pharmacy Facebook page. Cardholders can submit photos to showcase how they prefer to redeem ExtraBucks® Rewards – "Print It" or "Send It" – and vote for their favorite photos submitted by the community. Now through January 31, 20 winners each week will receive a $50 gift card to CVS/pharmacy, and the photo with the most votes will receive a grand prize of $2,000 in CVS/pharmacy gift cards.
