Kraft Foods to sell Cadbury Somerdale plant in Bristol, England, to homebuilder Taylor Wimpey Homes for US$54M, according to news report

LOS ANGELES , January 8, 2012 () – According to an article by the Times of London, Kraft Foods Inc. has agreed to sell its Cadbury Somerdale plant in Bristol, England, to homebuilder Taylor Wimpey Homes Plc for US$54 million, Bloomberg reported Jan. 7.

The article did not say where it obtained the information but did point out that although Kraft initially said it would keep the factory open upon acquiring Cadbury, it changed its mind and transferred production to Poland.

The Bristol site has been for sale ever since.
