SYDNEY , December 2, 2011 () – An Australia court has approved brewing giant SABMiller's $10.1 billion takeover bid for Foster's.

The Victoria state Supreme Court's decision on Friday means the deal can now go ahead. Australia's competition regulator and Foster's shareholders have already approved London-based SABMiller's takeover of Australia's biggest brewer.

SABMiller's brands include Grolsch, Peroni and Miller Lite. Foster's owns seven of the top 10 beer brands in Australia. Its beers include VB, Cascade and Crown Lager.
