GRAZ, Austria , November 14, 2011 (press release) – International technology Group ANDRITZ has been commissioned to supply a production line for five-layers BOPP films (BOPP: Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) by Daelim Industrial Co., Ltd., a South Korean group operating globally in the construction and chemical industries.

Start-up of the plant in Jeonju, designed for an annual capacity of around 38,600 t, is planned for spring 2013.

The plastic films, with a thickness of 10-60 µm and a width of 8.7 m, will be used primarily in the packaging industry. The short retooling times achieved as a result of the plant’s high flexibility allow the production of many different types and grades of films in a broad range of applications.
