Amazon.com, Inc. on Nov. 11 unveiled a new browser bar tool that keeps consumers abreast of the retailer’s available products and deals even when they are using other e-commerce sites, Internet Retailer reported on Nov. 11.
The browser bar tool can be downloaded for free via Amazon’s website.
According to Scot Wingo, the CEO of ChannelAdvisor Corp., the timing of the release indicates that Amazon is planning to incorporate the tool into its Kindle Fire tablets. He also says that retailers who use Amazon marketplace in order to sell their products may see a slight increase in sales as a result of the toolbar.
