TROY, Michigan , November 3, 2011 (press release) – Champion Home Builders, a leading producer of manufactured and modular homes and buildings for government and commercial applications, today announced the launch of the company’s new Internet-based retailer sales tool – DiVE IN (Design Interactive Viewing Experience).

The DiVE IN tool provides Champion retailers the ability to present custom design options for Champion modular and manufactured homes to fit the lifestyle of their customer. Retailers and customers can select from a variety of floorplans such as alternate kitchen layouts, flexible spaces, and master bath suite designs. Users can also review exterior designs and colors, take a “virtual tour” of each home’s living area, and view images of completed homes. The DiVE IN tool is available on the company’s website, www.championhomes.com.

“We recognize how difficult it is in this business climate for our retailers to support a large number of homes in inventory,” said Jack Lawless, CEO, Champion Home Builders. “Fewer homes in inventory means it is more challenging to match floorplan designs with the lifestyle needs of prospective customers. The DiVE IN tool will provide our retailers with the means to showcase a wider array of floorplans in a more dynamic fashion. This technology is another example of Champion’s continued commitment to support our independent retailer distribution network.”

“When we designed the technology, our primary objective was to allow customers to access it from the retailer’s website,” said, Paul Perugi, Champion Home Builders Internet marketing manager. “This provides our partners with a powerful selling advantage by differentiating their products and services in the virtual marketplace. Early results suggest that this interactive design experience creates a higher conversion of Web traffic to lead generation and through our beta testing, we learned that Internet customers are more likely to become interested when they can experience the home in a more robust manner.”

The DiVE IN tool was designed for use on tablet PC and iPad® devices, as well as traditional laptop and desktop computers. Using the technology on a tablet device allows retail sales associates to easily engage customers and present Champion custom home options while touring model homes.

“We worked with several key retailers to develop features that would provide them with the highest value,” said Kevin Flaherty, vice president of marketing, Champion Home Builders. “When it is used with a tablet computer, the sales experience grows exponentially with the ability to provide the customer with all the information they need to make an informed buying decision in a unique, concise and captivating manner.”
