Amazon.com reportedly negotiating with Chinese officials to bring Kindle e-reader products, including Kindle Fire, into country

LOS ANGELES , October 28, 2011 () – Amazon.com Inc is in discussions with Chinese regulators over bringing its Kindle e-readers, including the new Kindle Fire, to China, according to a media report, Reuters reported Oct. 28.

Amazon Senior Vice President Marc Onetto was quoted by Soho IT as saying that the company is in discussions with Chinese officials about copyright issues. He said there was no timeline for bring the Kindle to China.

"We hope to launch products in China that are simple and user-friendly. If there are too many vendors participating, the product will become very complex. We are not only concerned with the speed to market in China but also with user needs," Onetto was quotes as saying.
