Heinz selling former factory in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania; deal could close by December

LOS ANGELES , October 18, 2011 () – According to an article in the Philadelphia Business Journal, H.J. Heinz. Co. will be selling its former factory in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, The Pittsburgh Business Times reported Oct. 18.

According to the original article, Canada-based SunOpta will be buying the 180,000 square foot building that Heinz closed last May. The plant was among five plants closed amid 1,000 positions cut.

The deal could close by December.
