Huhtamaki Oyj and members of the United Steelworkers Union reached a new three-year labor agreement at the Fulton, New York, paperboard packaging plant, reported WSYR-TV on Oct. 13.
The contract keeps medical insurance and pensions in addition to wage increases and a slight increase in disability benefits and life insurance.
The new deal, which became retroactive on Feb. 1, also provides overtime for work done over eight hours in a day.
The United Steelworkers members had previously declined a labor contract offer from Huhtamaki earlier this summer.
About 700 people work at Huhtamaki’s Fulton plant, reported WSYR-TV.
