Boise Cascade plans maintenance downtime at its Elgin, Oregon, plywood plant during week of July 26

Boise Cascade is to take a week of maintenance downtime at its plywood plant in Elgin, Oregon.
The plant will be down in the week of Sept. 5, Random Lengths reported on Aug. 10. Boise Cascade last announced maintenance downtime at the mill in the week of July 26, 2010.
The Elgin plywood plant is one of several facilities in Boise Cascade's Inland Region, which employs around 860 people including 540 in Northeast Oregon, according to 2010 figures from the La Grande Observer. The region's other facilities include a particleboard plant at Island City, a stud mill at Elgin, and mills at Pilot Rock and Kettle Falls, Washington.
