West Virginia University and Virginia Tech are getting federal grants to help hardwood businesses stay competitive and sustainable.
The U.S. Forest Service announced the grants Friday. West Virginia University will receive $50,000 and Virginia Tech will get $50,993.
The funding was provided through the U.S. Forest Service Wood Education and Resource Center in Princeton.
