ExxonMobil to lift sales allocation of HDPE from plant in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; allocation began in late-2013 after US Evangeline Pipeline shutdown

LONDON , June 6, 2014 (ICIS Chemical Business (CBNB Abstracts)) – The sales allocation of high density polyethylene (HDPE) from the Baton Rouge, LA plant of US-based polyethylene (PE) manufacturer ExxonMobil would be stop on 1 Jun 2014. The allocation began in late-2013 after the US Evangeline Pipeline shutdown. The pipeline which supplies Louisiana with ethylene from Texas has been ramping up since it was restarted in the first week of May 2014. PE, especially HDPE, supply is expected to improve after Exxon lifts the allocation.
