UK based British American Tobacco (Investments) Ltd filed patent application for filter additive. The inventors are Sampson John and Rushforth David.
British American Tobacco (Investments) Ltd filed the patent application on Dec. 7, 2012. The patent application number is 10262/CHENP/2012 A. The international classification numbers are A24D3/02 and A24D3/04.
According to the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks, "The present invention relates to a method of producing a filter element for inclusion in a smoking article the method comprising applying an additive to filter material the additive being solid at room temperature and the method involving heating the additive so that it melts."
