SCA Timber forms a new sales organization for Europe and will as a consequence terminate agent agreements in a number of countries.
The new organization will be responsible for the sales of wood products in all of Europe, except for Scandinavia, France and United Kingdom. Head of the new sales organization will be Raffaele Parlato, presently SCA Timber’s sales representative in Italy.
In most European countries SCA Timber’s products are today sold through agents. Through gathering the sales in one common organization, SCA Timber will become a stronger partner for development-oriented customers. The contacts between customers and sawmills will be shorter and the exchange of information smoother, which simplifies and facilitates the cooperation through the supply chain.
For the other sales areas – Scandinavia, United Kingdom, France, Middle East and North Africa, China, Japan and USA – sales and marketing will continue as before.
Ville Liimola, sales representative for Finland and Eastern Europe, and Nicholas Sitaras, SCA Timbers representative in Greece, will join the new sales organization. SCA Timber Europe will also be equipped with resources for customer service and back-office. As head of the new sales organization, Raffaele Parlato will report to Ante Andersson, SCA Timbers director for mill sales.
SCA Timber’s sales to the builders merchant sector in Scandinavia, France and United Kingdom, SCA Timber Supply, will not be affected by this change.
The new organization will be active, as of 1 June 2014.
