Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (HBC) said on Thursday it has appointed Jaak Mikkel as new director general for Romanian and Moldovan operations effective as of June 1.
Mikkel is now the director general of Macedonia's Pivara Skopje AD, a joint-venture between Coca-Cola HBC Macedonia and Heineken, the company said in a statement.
Mikkel will replace Stephane Batoux.
"In 2013 Coca-Cola HBC Romania reached the largest market share in terms of volume on the carbonated drinks segment and launched a new Cappy Pulpy production line, a succesful innovation amid a difficult economic environment for the entire market and industry," Batoux was quoted as saying in the statement.
Coca-Cola Hellenic is the second-largest Coca-Cola bottling company in terms of volume, with sales of more than two billion units. The company operates in 28 countries with a population of over 560 million.
