Germany's Homag is the chief supplier of machines and equipment for the new Nowy Styl plant, including the main production line.
The plant in Jaslo will be among the most modern furniture factories in Europe, PAP was told by project manager Maria Lasek. "Building a new plant we always choose state-of-the-art solutions and machines," she said.
The total cost of the factory is estimated at PLN 100 million, PLN 40 million of which comes from the EU Innovative Economy programme.
Nowy Styl Group is Europe's biggest office furniture manufacturer, selling nearly 85 percent of its production to 100 countries. Nowy Styl Group has 19 branches all over the world and 15 plants in Poland, Germany, Russia and Ukraine. It employs 5,700 people, including 2,300 in Poland. (PAP)
