PEFC launches label generator to help companies, forest owners create PEFC labels with ease and speed; online tool is expected to encourage further uptake of the PEFC label

PEFC has launched its new Label Generator, making it quick and straightforward for companies and forest owners to create PEFC labels. This easy-to-use and intuitive online tool generates PEFC labels in a matter of minutes and provides everything needed to put a PEFC label on products or promotional materials.
“Companies are increasingly using the PEFC label to distinguish their certified products on the market place,” said Ben Gunneberg, PEFC Secretary General. “The new Label Generator makes it easier than ever for businesses to obtain the PEFC label according to their specific need and will encourage a further uptake of the PEFC label.”

As globally trusted marks, use of the PEFC logo and labels enables certified companies and forest owners to:
Uncertified entities - such as NGOs, media and educational organizations - can also use the PEFC logo and labels for the purpose of educating, informing or promoting PEFC certification and sustainable forest management.

How to get access to the Label Generator
Companies that already have obtained a valid PEFC Logo Usage License will receive further information about the PEFC Label Generator through their national PEFC member organizations as it gets rolled out nationally. The Label Generator is already available in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia and the UK, with the remaining countries expected to be added shortly.
Certified companies that are interested in using the PEFC label but have not yet obtained a license are encouraged to contact their national PEFC organisation or PEFC International.
