LOS ANGELES , May 29, 2012 () – Groupon has proposed a US$8.5 million settlement to numerous lawsuits that claimed that Groupon deals included undisclosed or illegal restrictions, ABC News reported May 28.

The deals in question were issued between 2008 and 2011.

Customers would have to submit a claim to be compensated.

The settlement is subject to a judge's approval in July.
