PORTLAND, Oregon , April 24, 2012 (press release) – Gears Up to Capture More Market Share With Bioplastic Disposables at Price-Parity With Traditional Plastics

Trellis Earth Products, Inc. (OTCQX: TREL), a leading manufacturer of sustainable bioplastic finished goods, today announced that it has appointed James Fahlgren its Vice President of Sales, as the Company transitions into becoming a bioplastics manufacturer with a vertically integrated, state-of-the-art factory in Lake Oswego, Oregon later in 2012.

Mr. Fahlgren joins Trellis with over 30 years of experience selling disposable food service items and bioplastic alternatives to accounts such as Starbucks, Jack in the Box, Carl's Jr., Chipotle, Del Taco, and similar such franchised food service companies in the quick serve industry.

"James brings bioplastics industry experience and relationships to Trellis from a universe of buyers that collectively comprise our path to accelerated growth," said Bill Collins, CEO of Trellis Earth.

"We'll have capacity for 100 million units of cutlery, condiment cups, and clamshells," added Collins, "and I'm sure James can sell that and much more too."

The Company has described in its public filings a plan to have two factories before the end of 2013, each of which could produce 100 million units per month of finished goods via thermoforming and injection molding of the Company's patent-pending bioplastics blends.
