A bill has been proposed in Mississippi that would raise the amount of alcoholic content of beer sold and manufactured within the state beyond the current 5%, The Picayune Item reported March 7.
The current law prevents craft beers from being sold in Mississippi stores.
The bill was held on a motion to reconsider. However, if the bill can overcome that hurdle, it would move on to the Senate and, if it passes, would then go to the governor’s desk.
