Dunkin’ Brands are now offering pork donuts in China, where it’s looking to open another 100 stores within the next three years, Reuters reported March 5.
The product is part of the company’s strategy to offer certain items in the right market. For example, pork donuts are not likely to sell well in countries like Indonesia and Malaysia, where there are high populations of Muslims.
Dunkin’ Brands has more than 5,400 outlets in the Asia-Pacific region and is looking to open at least 250 net new stores in the region for both its Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins brands by 2015.
