The U.K.’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) banned a L'Oreal SA ad for L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Repair 10 face cream featuring actress Rachel Weisz, Bloomberg reported Feb. 1.
This is the second time L'Oreal has been affected by a ban in the last six months.
According to the ASA, Rachel Weisz's image in the ad "misleadingly exaggerated" the product's performance in relation to its claims.
A spokesman from L'Oreal said the company doesn't believe it exaggerated the image and believes the effect can be achieved using the product.
Last year, the ASA banned L'Oreal's ads featuring actress Julia Roberts and supermodel Christy Turlington for similar reasons, Bloomberg reported.
