Unilever expands personal care product brands in Europe, adding Timotei Organic Delight hair care products, Lynx hair care products, Lynx fragrance for women; Unilever's sales growth in personal care sector was 11.3% in Q3 2011

LOS ANGELES , January 24, 2012 () – Unilever Plc is expanding its personal care product brands in Europe, Cosmetics Design Europe reported on Jan. 24.

Unilever is adding Timotei Organic Delight hair care products, the company’s first natural certified product. Unilever is also expanding Lynx (called Axe in the U.S.) deodorant brand into hair care. Lynx will also be available in a fragrance for women.

The brand expansions are in line with Unilever’s recent expansion of personal care products, which has contributed to improved financial performance. In Q3 2011, Unilever’s overall sales growth was 7.8%, while sales growth in the personal care sector was 11.3%.
