U.K. recycling minister to address Foodservice Packaging Assn.'s environment seminar on Jan. 12

Lord Taylor of Holbeach, Parliamentary Under Secretary and Government Spokesperson at DEFRA, will address the FPA Environment Seminar on January 12, 2012. Lord Taylor has a special interest in environmental and waste issues and was appointed Minister for Recycling and Waste in September 2011. He was previously co-chair of the Associate Parliamentary Sustainable Resource Group, which facilitates dialogue between politicians and industry concerning waste.
Lord Taylor joins an impressive line-up of speakers. Also speaking is Dr John Williams, Head of Materials for Energy and Industry at NNFCC, the UK's National Centre for Biorenewable Energy, Fuels and Materials, Dr Richard Swannell, Director of Design and Waste Prevention at WRAP and Mr Dick Searle, Chief Executive of the Packaging Association.
The event is hosted by Neil Whittall, FPA Chairman and the post-speaker debate is chaired by Josh Brooks, Editor, Packaging News. Josh Brooks said: "Foodservice packaging is one of the key battlegrounds in public and political perceptions of packaging and waste. I'm greatly looking forward to hearing the points of view at this event, which I'm sure will give key insights into the issues at stake."
The event takes place at the Alveston Manor Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon (CV37 7HP) from 2pm until 5pm. Press passes are available.
