According to a new Technomic report, 62% of college and university students in the U.S. purchase food or beverages from on-campus foodservice operations at least once a week, and 20% do so at least once a day, Technomic reported Dec. 12.
Students are in the process of establishing the behaviors and preferences they will carry with them beyond their college years, shaping future industry trends, according to the report.
Sixty percent of these students are not enrolled in school meal plans, the report stated.
