Alabama's Agriculture Department is implementing three food recalls in retail stores across the state.
Agriculture Commissioner John McMillan said National Beef Packing Co. is recalling ground beef products from its Dodge City, Kan., plant that may contain E. coli. The beef was sold in Publix and Winn-Dixie stores in Alabama.
McMillan said an Ontario company, Aliments Prince, is recalling diced bacon products, and Fresh Food Concepts of Buena Park, Calif., is recalling Layer Dip products containing guacamole because the avocado may be harmful.
McMillan said these recalls are classified as Class 1, which means there is a reasonable probability that use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death.
