The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE: DOW) announced today that it will increase the off schedule price in all regions for Vinyl Acetate Monomer effective September 1, 2009, or as contracts allow. The increase amounts by region are noted below in the table.

This increase is necessitated by the cost escalation of raw materials, particularly ethylene and
