CAMBRIDGE, United Kingdom , June 24, 2022 (press release) –

Xaar is highlighting industrial inkjet’s strong sustainability credentials across an increasingly wide set of industries and applications at this month’s FuturePrint Leaders Summit in Geneva, Switzerland.

Titled, ‘Changing Today & Tomorrow: Sustainability and industrial inkjet’, the presentation by Angus Condie, Xaar’s Director of Technology, forms part of the two-day in-person event on 29th & 30th June, following the highly successful virtual FuturePrint Leaders’ Summit in March of last year.

Angus will highlight both the extended applications that Xaar’s recent developments have enabled, and the sustainability benefits that inkjet technology can bring in terms of waste reduction, efficiency and productivity, across markets as diverse as 3D printing, packaging, textiles and spray coating applications.

Taking Xaar’s vision that sees “a world where you can print anything you can imagine”, Angus will explore several new sectors that can – and are already – reaping the benefits of the use of inkjet technology, whilst simultaneously enhancing their sustainability commitments.

With its new Sustainability Roadmap, Xaar has set out its pathway to drive positive change and provide clear industry leadership for a more sustainable future across the supply chain. Xaar’s printhead and inkjet technology advances – from printing in all orientations, to facilitating the use of pigmented inks and direct to product printing (eliminating the need for labelling), all at a commercial scale, have contributed to many new industries seeing inkjet and its role in driving sustainability in a new light.

“Xaar’s ImagineX platform has already been instrumental in the development of genuinely practical innovations that address and overcome some of the long-standing roadblocks in the application of inkjet in the packaging sector, and this practicality is made even more attractive by the significant sustainability benefits on offer,” said Angus.

“Clearly, this double, ‘win/win’ advantage is causing a host of new manufacturers to consider the real possibilities that inkjet can unlock, and we at Xaar are enthusiastic to work with them to unleash the true potential of our technology.”

Angus’ presentation takes place at 17.30 in Room 1 on day one of the summit and he is also a member of the sustainability panel discussion held 16.15 on the same day. More information and tickets to attend the FuturePrint Leaders Summit can be secured here.
