January 22, 2024 (press release) –

As part of its development plan, Gietz Holding AG takes over the parts manufacturing company P. Loher AG in Zuzwil, Switzerland.

P. Loher AG in Zuzwil has its own building with 2000 m2 of production space and, with its 16 employees, specialises in the manufacture and machining of CNC milled and turned parts. It has modern machine systems incorporating a high degree of automation.

The former owner Patrick Loher was the 2nd generation of his family to run the company. Patrick Loher will remain active in the company and we are happy that we can continue to benefit from his knowledge in the field of efficient and precise parts production.

In addition to further developing the partnership with existing and new customers of P. Loher AG, the aim of Gietz Holding AG is to integrate the existing mechanical parts production of Gietz AG at the Gossau site into the operations of P. Loher AG.

This will enable the Gietz Group to distribute different competencies across two locations that can be reached within 20 minutes by car. At the Gietz AG site in Gossau, we will in future concentrate entirely on machine construction in order to continue to offer customers high-tech machines in the field of print finishing. And at the P. Loher AG site in Zuzwil, we will continue to develop and expand our mechanical manufacturing expertise.

Hansjörg Gietz (owner and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gietz Holding AG): “I am delighted that Patrick Loher has placed his trust in me to continue developing his company. This gives the Gietz Group the unique opportunity to secure mechanical parts production in Switzerland for the mechanical engineering companies of Gietz Holding AG.”

Patrick Loher (former owner of P. Loher AG): “I am happy to be able to put the fate of P. Loher AG in the hands of the Gietz Group. The Gietz Group will ensure that the Zuzwil site continues to be invested in and expanded in order to continue supplying our customers
with high-precision parts.”
