The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP), the leading certification authority in sustainable printing, announced today that Dscoop, known as the world’s largest and most collaborative digital print and design community, has joined the SGP community as a Resource Partner.

SGP Resource Partners are non-profits, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and educational institutions engaged in promoting, teaching or researching in the areas of graphic arts and/or sustainability. Resource Partners are subject-matter experts that assure the entire print community is empowered to advance sustainability in the printing industry supply chain.

“Sustainability is important to the members of the Dscoop community and SGP is the leading authority on providing a data driven approach to achieve carbon neutrality for the print industry in North America. Together, we can create a blueprint for HP Graphics Arts users to achieve carbon neutrality and work toward drawdown for the digital print on a global basis,” said Rick Bellamy, Dscoop Executive Chairman. “Our partnership will promote the importance of a data-driven approach and will provide print service providers with a heuristic method to achieve their carbon goals while at the same time providing brands with a data driven method to measure the progress of their suppliers, accelerating their scope 3 ESG reporting efforts.”

“By collaborating with Dscoop, the SGP Community can raise the level of sustainable practices in the printing industry,” said Marcia Kinter, SGP Co-founder and Printing UNITED Alliance representative. “Our industry and our customers are setting ambitious sustainability targets for the printing industry to reach those targets, there must be transparency along the entire supply chain— this is where SGP and Dscoop can help with education and a public certification criteria.”
