PORTLAND, Oregon , March 22, 2022 (press release) –

Portland Pet Food Company (PPFC), a manufacturer of human-grade dog food toppers and treats, announces its expansion into cat products with the release of two Homestyle Meal formulas: Boots’ Salmon N’ Pumpkin and Luke’s Chicken N’ Pumpkin.

Like Portland Pet Food’s dog meals, its new line of cat meals is human-grade and entirely sourced and made in the USA. The two new products are designed to be used as a rotational meal or topper to complement a cat’s routine meal, and they provide a fresh, natural boost to a cat’s regular diet. The whole food limited ingredients are easily digestible and perfect for cats with digestive issues and food sensitivities. Just like the rest of Portland Pet Food products, the cat meals are free from supplements and additives. “We are so excited to officially launch our cat meals at Global Pet Expo this year,” said Katie McCarron, founder of PPFC. “Ever since I started the company in 2014, I had eager cat parents asking me, ‘Where’s the cat meals? You are named Portland Pet Food Company after all!’ and I am happy to say the cat is officially out of the bag!”

Thus far, reception of the product has been great; in early tests, palatability has been exceptional and pet parents love the simple, natural ingredients, with meat as the primary ingredient. The product is expected to be available in store come June, and McCarron goes on to say that retailers can’t wait to get it either, “It’s no surprise that the pandemic has increased demand across all pet food categories, but that demand has come with increased supply chain challenges too. We’re excited to have a product that is wholly sourced and made in the USA – it allows us to respond more quickly to changes in demand.”

PPFC will have the new products on display at Global Pet Expo from March 22nd – 24th at booth #1155. For those looking to find where they can buy Portland Pet Food Company for themselves, they can head to the company’s store locator on their website or ask about them in their local pet store.
