SIRANE’S Rachel McKenna is among the speakers at this year’s Bakery Live. Rachel, Sirane’s Innovation & Business Development Manager, will talk on day 2 where she will discuss sustainable packaging, and what’s possible within the sector. The talk will cover what’s possible and what’s not within the bakery sector when it comes to sustainable packaging and will discuss the various challenges faced by the sector. She will also discuss materials, what their place is within the sector, what their limitations are, what new materials are coming through the development process, as well as barrier coatings, and how they can successfully replace plastics in some packaging options. Bakery Live is an online event spread over two days (June 20 and 21) which provides a forum for the international bakery sector, incorporating two days of seminars.
