PLASTIC-FREE and recyclable flow-wrap films suitable for frozen foods have been added to Sirane’s sustainable Earth Packaging range. Our Earthfilm Frozen is a sustainable alternative to plastic flow-wrap films which are commonly used in the food industry to over-wrap frozen foods. Earthfilm Frozen is available in either white or brown Kraft, and the recyclable papers are suitable for domestic freezer applications. The material has excellent moisture and grease resistance. “Lots of frozen food is packed in this way, and Earthfilm Frozen offers food manufacturers a way of making their packaging easily recyclable.” Earthfilm Frozen is food contact approved, and is paper recyclable, as well as being completely free of any plastics. Water-based coatings give the paper-based film the required grease/moisture resistance needed with some frozen foods. We can supply Earthfilm Frozen as flow-wrap film or 3-side-seal bags.
