High-quality and high-performance pails come in different kinds. We at Schoeller Allibert understand very well that there is no one size fits all, no one material that gets all jobs done.

ROPAC by Schoeller Allibert offers pails in a variety of ranges, serving very specific needs. Whatever you need, we have pails for you:

> in the right category,
> with the right volume, and
> from the right range

CATEGORIES

Which one is right for you? Let’s start with an overview of our three main categories, and why they’re fit for your purpose:

Food-grade pails

  • COMPOSITION: Made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), or other FDA-approved plastics that are non-reactive and non-toxic, ensuring they can’t contaminate food products.

  • SAFETY: Designed to minimize risk of contamination, making them safe for food storage and transportation. Resistant to odours, flavours and chemicals that could affect food quality.

  • CERTIFICATION: Rigorously tested and manufactured in compliance with FDA regulations, so they don’t introduce harmful substances into food products.

  • DURABILITY: Engineered to withstand extreme temperatures and other logistical challenges. Optional: airtight seals and tamper-evident closures to safeguard freshness.

Hazardous goods pails

  • COMPOSITION: Made from industrial-grade HDPE, or other chemically resistant materials that are designed to withstand contact with corrosive materials.

  • SAFETY: Engineered to prevent the escape of dangerous goods and protect personnel and the environment from exposure.

  • CERTIFICATION: Manufactured to meet industry-specific standards and regulations for safe storage and transport of hazardous materials. Compliant with UN/DOT and other key regulations.

  • DURABILITY: Built to endure harsh environments, with resistance to corrosion, UV radiation, and extreme temperatures. Optional: secure closures, venting apertures, and reinforced handles.

Pharma-grade pails

  • COMPOSITION: Made from pharma-grade materials, which are highly pure and contain no binders, fillers, or other unknown substances.

  • SAFETY: Because they contain no additional or unknown substances, there is no risk of contamination.

  • CERTIFICATION: These pure materials meet the highest pharmaceutical standards for manufacturing.

As you see, a lot of thought has gone into the design, certification, and manufacture of the right product categories for the right industries.

Categories are one thing. Specific uses for particular industries with unique needs are another. That is why over the years we have created pails in various ranges, In all, we have eight product families. Each comes in a variety of suitable volumes.

RANGES

Used by world-leading brands, ROPAC® packaging solutions ensure that oils and lubricants arrive safely around the world, that coatings are robustly and easily packaged, that high-value cosmetics and ingredients are shipped safely, and that paints get the high-quality, robust and proven packaging solution they deserve.

And, as the following thumbnail descriptions of our ranges demonstrate, our solutions can do much more, for many more product categories. Each range is suitable for either very specific purposes, or with a wide range of possible applications.

Secure UN Solid

SPECIFICS: Made from 100% virgin HDPE, which is easy to recycle. Certified for the transport of hazardous goods in Class Y and Z (Packing Group II and III). The tough design and tamper-evident sealing system protect your premises, your staff, and the environment from harmful leaks and spills.

EXAMPLE OF USE: Our UN-rated pails are a popular choice for demanding and high-value jobs by many of the world’s largest chemical and fine chemical companies.

Prime –UN Liquid

SPECIFICS: Made from 100% virgin HDPE, which is easy to recycle. Certified for the transport of hazardous liquids in Class Y and Z (Packing Group II and III) at 100 kPa. Lids can be fitted with a Flex-Spout for safe and easy emptying. ROPAC® UN Liquid pails are easy to handle and help reduce packaging consumption.

UNIQUE: ROPAC® UN Liquid pails are extremely robust thanks to the strong side wall and the polygonic protection collar, which together ensure stability on the pallet and during transportation.

EXAMPLE OF USE: Our UN-rated pails are the preferred choice for robust packaging within the UV-safe ink industry.

Pharma Pails – Non-UN Solid Pharma Certified

SPECIFICS: Made from pharma-certified materials, and available in all sizes mentioned in the graph, plus one extra especially for the needs of this industry: Pharma Mini.

EXAMPLE OF USE: The primary choice for safeguarding of expensive active ingredients in the pharmaceutical industry, and other pharma applications.

CircuLine Pails – Non-UN

SPECIFICS: The ergonomic, user-friendly and 100% safe design offers the highest possible guarantee for all kinds of goods.

UNIQUE: CircuLine® products are made using recycled plastic, without compromising on quality and strength. This circular approach helps reduce the need for virgin plastic, and stimulates the re-use of the earth’s natural resources.

EXAMPLE OF USE: High-end packaging solution for transporting all kinds of products for a wide range of industrial applications.

ESD Pails – UN-Certified Electrostatic Dissipative

SPECIFICS: Modified ROPAC® MP 32 LH with a surface resistance value < 10-8 Ohm, UN-certified for solid goods up to 36 kg.

ORIGIN STORY: A customer requested a version of a Secure UN Solid pail in conductive material. More conductivity means more fragility, especially to shocks. That made it more challenging to meet the UN certification’s drop test. However, our R&D team was successful in designing a pail that was both conductive and compliant with UN certification.

EXAMPLE OF USE: As a UN-certified electrostatic dissipative (ESD).

Cube – Non-UN

SPECIFICS: Because of their ergonomic and user-friendly cubic design, these high-quality pails are safe, efficient, and easy to stack onto a pallet.

EXAMPLE OF USE: The transport of heavy-duty products for a wide range of industrial applications.

Prime Food – Non-UN Liquid

SPECIFICS: 100% safe and food-safe, offering the highest quality protection during transportation. The ergonomic and user-friendly design offers the highest possible guarantee for high-value goods.

EXAMPLE OF USE: The transportation of liquid products for a wide range of industrial applications and market segments.

Secure Food – UN Solid

SPECIFICS: Comes with a variety of lid options. 100% safe and food-safe, offering the highest quality protection during transportation. The ergonomic and user-friendly design offers the highest possible guarantee for high-value goods.

EXAMPLE OF USE: The transportation of solid products for a wide range of industrial applications and market segments.
