Following O-I’s successful achievement of Great Place to Work® certification in four countries – Brazil, for three years in a row, Colombia, Peru and Ecuador – O-I has ranked 11th among the top companies in Colombia. “Our values and behaviors are the foundation of our work at O-I. We work tirelessly to create a strong culture for everyone to feel valued and included, whether they work on the shop floor or in an office,” said Pablo Vercelli, O-I Vice President People and Culture. “Validating our efforts, this year, four of our country organizations – Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru – are officially certified as a Great Place To Work®. And even more, O-I ranked 11th among mid-size companies in Colombia! Great Place To Work® certification is based on a rigorous third-party process that includes employee surveys. It is a testament of a company enjoying its culture and values, leading to strong employee engagement. I am equally grateful and proud that both our employees and the Great Place To Work® organization recognize O-I’s efforts to make our company literally a great workplace.” According to the questionnaire conducted by Great Place To Work, 98% of employees in Colombia replied that O-I is a great workplace! “We are very proud to receive this exceptional recognition,” said Alvaro Suarez, O-I Andean Country Group Managing Director. “This is the result of years of effort, where together we have built a work environment where our employees feel respected, valued, included and proud to build a sustainable future hand in hand with glass. We believe that the talent of our people is what makes us successful as a company, and we are going for more!” Great Place To Work® recognition is based on employee feedback and we value that our employees believe O-I is indeed a great place to work.
