LC Packaging introduces new jute baxmatic bag with home compostable strip for automatic high-speed filling; originally the strip was made of plastics, meaning the bag was not fully compostable after use

At first sight, our jute baxmatic bag looks like the perfect solution for automatic high-speed filling. Rapid and accurately our customers can fill the bag with seed or ware potatoes. Super easy to handle.

The only thing we would change about this bag, is the baxmatic strip. Originally this strip is made out of plastics, meaning that the bag is not fully compostable after use. It has to be incinerated or the baxmatic strip ends up polluting the environment.

For that we have found a solution!

Let us introduce the home compostable version of our well-known baxmatic bag. The baxmatic strip is made of certified home compostable, biodegradable plastics: This results in a fully biodegradable bag with a baxmatic strip that meets the requirements of international home compostability standards (EN 13432, ASMT D 6866). The ‘OK compost home’ conformity mark (TA8021903868) by TÜV Austria is also applicable to these biodegradable polymers.
