Jokey Ibérica successfully certified according to UNE-EN 15343:2008 standard; the certification for recycled plastics covers specifications on traceability in plastic recycling, conformity assessment, raw material content of recycled origin

Jokey Ibérica S.L.U. passed the audit of the Spanish Association for Standardisation and Certification AENOR, at the beginning of December. They have been successfully certified, according to the UNE-EN 15343:2008 standard.

Thanks to the management system already in place, the Jokey Ibérica team was able to meet all the requirements of the UNE-EN 15343:2008 certification in just a few weeks.

The sustainability certification for recycled plastics, covers specifications on traceability in plastic recycling, conformity assessment and raw material content of recycled origin.

Achieving this certification, emphasises the Jokey Group's commitment to a circular economy for plastic packaging.

The certification is very significant to Jokey and its customers, as it enables Jokey Ibérica to verify and certify the percentage of recycled polypropylene (rPP) contained in its manufactured products.

The ability to certify the rPP content under this standard, is an essential factor in determining the plastic tax rate, which is applied by the Spanish authorities, as part of the plastic tax law, which became mandatory as of 1 January 2024.
