February 22, 2024 (press release) –

We’re excited to announce the launch of the Fishbone C-Clip™, a curbside-recyclable carrier for cans or bottles that is perfect for the beverage industry.

The Fishbone C-Clip™ is the second-generation Fishbone carrier that offers enhanced reliability and durability as well as new branding capabilities.

The Fishbone C-Clip™ is designed with a second carrier layer to support potential cases of lost tension or exposure to moisture, making it ideal for withstanding refrigerated conditions. The Fishbone C-Clip™ also offers increased opportunity for banner-display branding to meet the needs of a range of customers. The product is part of Atlantic Packaging’s continued commitment to eliminating single-use plastics from the packaging supply chain as the United Nations Environment Program estimates that plastic debris kills more than a million seabirds and 100,000 marine mammals each year.

“Traditional plastic ring beverage carriers have long been problematic for our natural world and contribute to direct entanglement or ingestion threats to land and water-based species,” said Atlantic Packaging President Wes Carter. “The Fishbone C-Clip™ provides a sustainable alternative and technical design that is both reliable and durable. We are excited to bring this innovation to market as we seek to deliver solutions and advocate for the transition away from problematic direct-to-consumer, single-use plastics to fiber-based, life-affirming solutions.”

The Fishbone C-Clip™ comes in a variety of in-stock and customized options to complement any brand while communicating brand values around environmental sustainability. In-stock design options are available for 4-packs and 6-packs and sold in quantities of 1,000 in the event purchasers are not ready to commit to custom printing. The Fishbone carrier must be machine applied. Atlantic offers the Snapper tool for manual application and will soon add the BCF-25 for semi-automatic applications, plus the BCF-100 for high-speed applications.
