Ardagh Group S.A. has published its Sustainability Update Report. Since refreshing its sustainability strategy in July 2020, Ardagh maintains a clear focus on its three sustainability pillars – Emissions, Ecology and Social. This report provides stakeholders with a comprehensive overview of how these pillars are not only driving growth but also integrating sustainability throughout the business. While this Update Report covers the calendar year 2021, it should be noted that Ardagh has recently received approval from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission reduction targets. Prior to publication of this report, Ardagh has also been awarded the prestigious platinum rating – the highest sustainability ranking awarded by EcoVadis. “Ardagh is committed to moving forward with ambitious action in sustainability and continuously improving our infinitely recyclable metal and glass packaging to advance our commitment to net zero emissions by 2050,” said John Sadlier, Chief Sustainability Officer, Ardagh Group. “This Update Report shares how we actively promote sustainability across our business operations to deliver strong sustainability performance for our customers.” Ardagh has a clear goal of alignment with the UN and Paris Climate Agreement of 2015 in achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
