Aptar is committing to the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs). Established by UN Women and the UN Global Compact, these principles provide a holistic framework for businesses to champion women’s rights, ensuring an inclusive and equitable workplace. By endorsing the WEPs, Aptar joins a global movement that advocates for gender-inclusive policies and practices across industries.

“Aptar is proud to join the UN’s Women’s Empowerment Principles, aligning our values with global efforts to advance gender equality and create a more just and thriving world for all. Our company’s purpose is transforming ideas into solutions that improve everyday life. To achieve this, we strongly believe that true innovation thrives in diverse and inclusive environments where women have equal opportunities and are an integral part of our success. Our journey towards a more equitable and inclusive workplace is not just a goal, but a fundamental part of who we are,” said Stephan Tanda, Aptar President & CEO.

The WEPs comprise seven principles addressing key facets of gender equality and women’s empowerment. These include promoting gender equality through leadership and workplace culture, ensuring fair and equal opportunities, and incorporating gender considerations into supply chain practices. The WEPs guide companies to establish a culture of diversity and inclusion, recognizing the value of gender balance in decision-making processes, encouraging fair representation of women at all organizational levels and challenging systemic barriers hindering their progress.

Aptar is committed to implementing the WEPs across our operations. In line with this commitment, ALIGN, Aptar’s Employee Resource Group (ERG) dedicated to gender equity and the empowerment of women, is actively integrating the WEPs into its initiatives, translating these principles into tangible improvements in workplace practices and culture.

Through this commitment, we aim to contribute to global efforts to advance gender equality and create workplaces where women can thrive and reach their full potential, recognizing the transformative impact it can have on individuals, communities, and economies worldwide.
