Schneider (NYSE: SNDR), a premier multimodal provider of transportation, intermodal and logistics services, is pleased to announce that Erin Van Zeeland has been promoted to chief commercial officer in addition to her accountabilities as the group senior vice president and general manager of Logistics. Over her career, Van Zeeland has held significant roles across the organization and has been a driving force in propelling growth for the enterprise.

She is succeeding Jim Filter, who will be taking over as executive vice president and group president of transportation and logistics in April.

“I am very proud of what our organization has accomplished over its storied history. We are an industry-leading, solutions-based company that matches technology, data science and incredibly talented people to ensure our customers’ success,” said Van Zeeland. “I am honored to be named chief commercial officer and be a part of future growth at Schneider. I believe the control and solutions we are delivering today; through our Schneider FreightPower® platform is just the beginning of what you will see from us. I am confident that our best days are ahead.”

As chief commercial officer, Erin will lead Schneider’s sales and marketing strategy and capability enablement to continue to take our enterprise to the next level.

“We are fortunate to have a leader like Erin who is working to develop an enterprise-wide, high-performance environment,” said Schneider President and CEO Mark Rourke. “She is a transformative leader that brings passion, creativity and heart to everything she does. Erin has advanced Schneider’s business over the years by reinforcing the value of our people, process and technology.”

Van Zeeland started at Schneider in 1993 as a service team leader. Van Zeeland also received the Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s first-ever Women in Supply Chain Award. She currently serves on the board of directors for the United Way – Green Bay and as a board member of the Transportation Intermediaries Association. Van Zeeland also co-leads the Schneider Women’s Network, an organization developed with the intent to attract, develop and retain the best talent, and ensure that no artificial barriers stand in the way of women achieving this objective.
