Lineage Logistics, LLC (“Lineage” or the “Company”), the world’s largest and most innovative temperature-controlled industrial REIT and logistics solutions provider, today announced it was named to the CNBC Disruptor 50 list for the second consecutive year, earning the No. 3 spot on the list after earning the No. 17 spot in 2021.

The annual list highlights 50 fast-growing private companies in a range of industries that are transforming the world through innovation. Companies named as a CNBC Disruptor 50 are selected by CNBC and CNBC.com editorial staff using a proprietary blend of quantitative and qualitative information submitted by more than 1,400 nominated companies.

Over the past year, Lineage has announced several industry-leading initiatives and commitments in energy efficiency. The company signed The Climate Pledge in November and committed to be net-zero carbon across business operations by 2040 – ten years ahead of the Paris Agreement. In line with this commitment, Lineage also announced the installation of groundbreaking clean energy advancements at its facility in Colton, CA to establish the first facility in its network to generate 100% of its energy consumption on-site. Overall, the Company has reduced its energy intensity by 33% since 2015.

The company has also invested in fully automated greenfield and expansion projects within its own global network and for its customers, including fully automated facilities in Virginia, Kansas and Colorado. Lineage has a growing network of over 22 fully automated facilities worldwide.

In addition to technological innovation, Lineage has recently announced a number of exciting partnerships and initiatives to advance the food supply chain, including:

  • Lineage launched the Lineage Foundation for Good, which leverages the company’s access, influence, experience, and expertise to address and improve the global food supply chain’s carbon imprint, reimagine industry processes that have historically led to food waste, and quickly redirect food to be distributed to communities around the world.
  • In collaboration with 8VC, the world’s most active venture capital firm in logistics tech, Lineage announced a strategic alliance to invest in and revolutionize the transportation and logistics technology sector via Lineage Ventures.
  • Lineage launched its direct-to-consumer fulfillment capabilities through the acquisitions of Crystal Creek Logistics and Perishable Shipping Solutions, allowing the company to meet increasing demand in e-commerce.  Lineage also announced its acquisition of UTI Forwarding, marking its entrance into the European freight forwarding industry.
  • Over the past year, Lineage has also announced its entrance into the cold storage markets in Spain, Italy and Singapore.
